A Commitment to Meaningful Change

Black Lives Matter. We stand firmly against racism and injustice. As a brand that serves sizes 14 and above, inclusivity is part of who we are. We are committed to driving positive change both within ELOQUII and our communities.

Black Lives Matter. This has always been true. And following the recent uprisings and protests in support of Black life and liberation, we were moved to take immediate action. Since May, we’ve voiced our solidarity on our social media channels, participated in #BlackoutTuesday, and invested financially in groups that support the movement for Black lives.

We've also spent the past weeks listening to and learning from our colleagues, customers, and influencers. We're indebted to many of you for not only calling us out, but also calling us in.

Please know that we are listening. And we must act.

We are committed to making long-lasting, systemic change in our brand, in our communities and most important, in ourselves. To begin, we commit to:

1. Creating a more inclusive, equitable and diverse workforce and environment for all ELOQUII associates

Diversity & Inclusion team: Form an internal Diversity & Inclusion team by the end of this month to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture within our brand.

Diversity & Inclusion strategy: Implement a Diversity & Inclusion strategy that drives hiring, talent development, and promotions with a specific focus on increasing Black and people of color representation in leadership roles. This will include a commitment that all new hire candidate slates and all interview panels must be diverse in order to proceed.

Develop internal talent: Invest in and support a training and development initiative that elevates and advances internal talent with an interest in furthering associates’ careers in fashion and retail.

2. Elevating, supporting and financially investing in Black creativity and talent

Starting today, we’ll launch the Black Creatives Project (BCP). BCP requires that we hold ourselves accountable and publish both goals and actual results for the percent of imagery across our owned channels and percent of marketing spend, including paid influencer collaborations and creative professionals, allocated to Black creatives.

BCP mandates that a minimum of 50% of total paid influencer partnerships will go to Black creators, with a minimum of 25% supporting Black micro-influencers with less than 20,000 followers, using our platforms to drive awareness and empower the voices of emerging Black creators.

BCP also mandates that we increase our work with Black creative professionals across our design and creative production process by at least 25%. This includes designers, stylists, models, photographers and hair and makeup artists.

3. Philanthropic Commitment: Continued and ongoing investments in the movement for Black life

Commit to continuous philanthropic efforts that support the movement for Black life in addition to donations already made to Black Lives Matter, Color of Change, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., The Movement for Black Lives, and Push Black.

Deepen connections with local communities through ELOQUII store ownership of community investments and philanthropy.

A day of service where we will come together on a paid day of service to volunteer for an organization that furthers racial equity.
